Biography
The Rev. Mia Levetan currently serves as a Chaplain for Hospice of Lancaster and the Piedmont. In this role she cares for patients and families in their homes providing spiritual and emotional support. She previously obtained units 2-4 from the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education as a Resident at CaroMont Regional Health in Gastonia, North Carolina. Mia is a graduate of Columbia Theological Seminary with degrees of Master of Divinity and a Master of Art in Practical Theology with a focus in Pastoral Care and Pastoral Theology. Mia attended the University of Utah where she attained a B.S. in Psychology.
In July 2015, The Rev. Mia became an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Throughout her time serving the church, she has implemented many outreach programs providing community engagement with the church including Theology on Tap, public prayer vigils, Vacation Bible School, and more. Rev. Mia was ordained as a deacon in her home congregation in 2007. She represented the Utah Presbytery as a YAD in 2008 at the 218th General Assembly. She has served churches in Georgia and Texas caring for the youngest to eldest generations.
Mia has also served as Co-Pastor of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Longview, Texas alongside her husband, The Rev. Nick Setzer. Nick is now serving as Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of York, South Carolina. They met in Montreat, North Carolina and have been married 12 years. Nick and Mia are the proud parents of Eliana (8), Oscar (4), Carter (3) and have one dog, Penelope (5). Mia loves to cross stitch, hike, garden, and enjoys finding the beauty in all of God’s creation.
